From a cooler than average year and from one of the cooler vineyards of Orange this is real cool climate style of Shiraz. This wine displays spicy red fruit aromas of strawberry, raspberry and cherry with lifted floral notes. The medium palate weight and elegant tannin structure support raspberry plum and cherry flavours with distinct white pepper and spice. This Shiraz was fermented in open topped tubs with 7% viognier grapes and the result is a lovely perfumed Shiraz / Viognier that will pair well with lighter meat dishes such as veal, duck and lamb.
